Moving Forward in 2021

As you reflect on 2020, there were many unpredictable circumstances.  If you were to do it all over again knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?

We can move forward with the lessons that we learned from this past year to make 2021 a year of self-care and well-being.  A plan helps to overcome excuses and distractions that might come your way.

Here are some questions to ponder to get you started:

As you look into the next year, what aspects of your health would you like to focus on in 2021?

Are you struggling to lose 15 pounds?  Frustrated with thyroid or other hormone imbalances?  Feeling tired when you wake up in the morning?  Limiting your exercise because of the aches and pains of fibromyalgia?  Write down what aspects of your health that you would like to improve upon.  Do not get overwhelmed if the list is long.

Knowing your current health status gives clarity to where you are today and where you would like to be.  How do you want to feel?  Make a commitment to stick to your health plan to live a life full of vitality and energy.

Why is that important?

How would achieving optimal health impact your life?  Will losing weight give you confidence and increased self-esteem?  Would you be able to keep up with your children or grandchildren if you had better energy?

Knowing the why helps to keep you motivated and focused on achieving your health goals.

What can you do to get started on making that happen?

Whether it is planning meals, scheduling time to exercise, purchasing that foam roller, or downloading that app, write down and get started on all of the tools and techniques to help you stay on track.  You can also enlist the help of friends and family to support you on your health path.

To overcome excuses, make your plan infallible by outlining the steps to achieve your health goals.

To achieve your goals, what help do you need to make them happen?

Don’t know where to start?  You may need to reach out to a therapist, a nutritionist to help with meal planning, a naturopathic doctor for hormone or supplement treatments, or a chiropractor, physical therapist, or acupuncturist to help with your arthritis or muscle tension.

Creating a professional health team can ensure a safe and effective health plan and the support to keep you on the right path.

Put it into action!

Making little strides every day in your health and wellness.  Repetition can bring about healthy habits and, with time, you can achieve your optimal health goals.

Thank you!

Thank you for continuing to take care of your health and of those you love by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing your hands!  Thank you for supporting small, local businesses during this time!
